My journey began in 2017, when I began crafting products in my kitchen to soothe my psoriasis. But it wasn't until I faced two battles with breast cancer in 2021 and 2022 that the true meaning of Sanara came to light.
Despite having no family history, it was through monthly breast exam rituals with Sanara's Chilean Rosehip Seed Body Oil that I began cultivating my own body awareness, so when both mammo and ultrasound indicated benign findings, it was through my intuition and self-advocacy that I insisted on a biopsy and was diagnosed on March 17, 2021 with Stage 0 Ductal Carcinoma Insitu at the age of 39, and then again, December 7, 2022 with Stage 2, Ductal Invasive Carcinoma.
It's through my personal journey with breast cancer that set in place my quest to share the life-saving practice of understanding your body, trusting your intuition, and advocating for your health.

Breast exams do not stop after a diagnosis, and it was through my commitment to my breast care, long before I turned 40 (when standard breast exams typically begin), that I found the lumps. I reached out to my doctors and pushed for more testing, which led to early detection that saved my life.
Now, it has become my passion and mission to share my story, raise breast cancer awareness, and emphasize the importance of knowing your body, trusting your intuition, and advocating for your health.
